Cows drink about a bathtub full of water and eat about 50 kilograms of food (or 1675 servings of cereal) a day.
Milk contains water and many other nutrients that help us to have a healthy and well-balanced diet.
Cows actually don’t sweat!
Male cattle are called bulls and they do not produce milk.
As a mammal, Dairy cows produce milk once they have a baby. The milk serves as food for the young calf, but the mother (also known as the dam) produces too much milk for her calf so we receive the rest.
Here in BC a cow can produce as much as 30 litres of milk a day and almost 9500 litres of milk a year.
